The current revision of Telelabs is dated June 2005. Please make sure your software is up-to-date. During the maintenance period till July 18th there may be more changes.

Follow these steps to install the required software to operate the Telelabs system. Please note that the software can only be used on Windows compatible systems.

All downloads are available on request on CD-ROM (Au$35 for Australian users, for overseas a US$35 donation to cover postage and other costs is requested - please make payments to "The University of Western Australia").

Step 1: Download and install the LabVIEW 7 Runtime Engine
This will allow you to run LabVIEW programs

• LVRunTimeEng.exe (33 MB)
  This step only needs to be done once. Revision level of LabVIEW is 7.1.1.

Step 2: Download and install the Labs Online login client
(Current version: June 2007)

• lol-login-setup.exe (5 MB) or
• telerobot-setup.exe (6 MB - includes telerobot client)
  This step needs to be done once initially, and then again any time a new version of the login client is released

Step 3: Update your client libraries

• Log in to the Telelabs system using the Labs Online Login client and your user information.
• Select the 'Verify System' tab in the 'Student Hallway' panel.
• Click the 'Update My System' button.
• The client libraries are about 4.5 megs in size, so please be patient if you are using a slower Internet connection.
• This step needs to be done once initially, and then again any time a new version of the client libraries are released.
